Dipole Antenna, Doublet

A straightforward yet fundamental type of antenna that consists of two conductive elements such as metal wires or rods, which are arranged end to end with a small gap between them. The transmitter or receiver is connected at the center. A dipole antenna radiates or receives equally well in all directions perpendicular to the axis of the antenna, making it an omnidirectional antenna when used in a horizontal alignment. Dipoles are the most basic type of antenna and serve as a reference model for many other antenna designs.
