Yagi-Uda Antenna

A type of directional antenna that consists of a driven element (typically a dipole), accompanied by additional 'parasitic elements' including one or more 'directors' and a 'reflector'. These parasitic elements, despite not being directly connected to the transmitter or receiver, re-radiate the signal in a way that forms a highly directional radiation pattern. This property of Yagi antennas enables them to focus the signal in a specific direction, increasing gain and reducing unwanted interference from other directions. Yagi antennas are often used in applications such as TV reception, amateur radio, and as a bridge antenna for wireless data links due to their high gain, directivity, and relatively simple and economical design.
