RG-223 is a type of RF coaxial cable that is similar in dimensions to the more common RG-58 cable. It differs due to its double shielding, which provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference, enhancing the quality of signal transmission and supporting a higher maximum operating frequency. However, its slightly larger diameter and rigidness compared to other similarly sized cables, such as RG-58, can make it more difficult to install in tight spaces. It is typically more expensive than equivalent RG-58 cabling, due to its superior shielding.
