Alfa is a prominent telecommunications company operating in Lebanon. Alfa operated 2G GSM services over 900 MHz and 3G UMTS over B1 (2100 MHz). On October 25, 2011, it was the first to launch 3G+ mobile broadband services.

Alfa 4G Network
On May 15, 2013, it became the first to commercially roll out 4G LTE services in the country, deploying a B3 (1800 MHz) carrier, and in another regional milestone upgraded to LTE-A in August 2016 carrier aggregating B3 with B20 (800 MHz) through strategic partnerships with Nokia and Ericsson.
In November 2018 Alfa announced it was upgrading its network to gigabit 4.5G LTE-A Pro on a path to eventual 5G services.The upgrades included 4X4 MIMO, 256QAM, and CA_3A-3A-20A aggregation.
