ALIV, also known as BeAliv Limited, is a telecommunications provider based in the Bahamas. Established in 2016, it is the newest mobile network operator in the region. The company is a subsidiary of Cable Bahamas Ltd., a leading telecommunications and cable television provider in the Bahamas. Ownership of ALIV is shared between Cable Bahamas Ltd., holding a majority stake, and the Government of the Bahamas, maintaining a minority interest. This joint venture was formed to diversify the telecommunications market in the Bahamas and provide a competitive alternative to the existing service providers.
