China Broadnet is a state-owned telecommunications company based in China. Founded in 2014 as then China Radio and Television Network Group (Chinese Radio & Television Network Co Ltd), CBN is the sole network operator in China authorised by the government to operate nationwide cable TV network providing cable TV, mobile, fixed broadband, satellite communication services as well as providing public safety services. The company is the country's fourth mobile network operator after securing licencing the begin operations as a mobile network in June 2019.

China Broadnet 5G Network

The company received licences from the MIIT including 100 MHz of 4.9 GHz spectrum to accompany its previously held 80 MHz in the 700 MHz band. Following an agreement with China Mobile the companies set plans to establish a joint 700 MHz 5G network. In August 2020, China Broadnet and Qualcomm claimed to have completed the world’s first 40 MHz-wide 5G data call on the 700 MHz band. In March 2021, CBN and Ericsson completed a 700 MHz 5G test, reported to have achieved record downlink speeds of over 600 Mbps.

The company's 700 MHz network reached nationwide coverage in June 2023. CBN has a RAN sharing agreement with China mobile which allows customers to make use of n41 and n78 bands.
