China Telecom Macao commercially launched its LTE1800 network on November 25, 2015, using the 1800 MHz frequency band initially with a 15 MHz allocation. The LTE network was part of a broader effort to enhance mobile communication services in Macau, representing a significant upgrade from the company's CDMA2000 network. China Telecom Macao's 4G network contracts were renewed for five years from June 24, 2024, to June 23, 2028, as per an Executive Order issued by Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng.

5G Network
China Telecom Macao was granted a 5G licence in January 2023 and expected to start its service in the city before the end of 2023. The company planned to develop various 5G applications in Macau, leveraging the extensive experience of its parent company, China Telecom, in running a 5G service in mainland China. As of December 2023, China Telecom Macao had not revealed the pricing for the new service. Both CTM and China Telecom Macao noted that customers would be able to use the 5G service with an Android 5G smartphone, while those with iPhones would only be able to enjoy the 5G service in the following quarter. The company aimed to contribute to Macau's social development by offering residents more convenience in their daily lives through 5G applications.
