Claro Costa Rica is a telecommunications company operating in Costa Rica. The company is a subsidiary of América Móvil, a Mexican telecommunications group. Claro entered the market in 2011 following the passing of the Dominican Republic–Central America Free Trade Agreement which opened up the monopolistic telecommunications market to private enterprise.
