      5G Network

As of December 2024, Claro Paraguay had not yet launched a commercial 5G network. However, the Paraguayan telecommunications regulator, CONATEL, announced plans to auction spectrum for 5G services in 2025. The National Telecommunications Plan (PNT) 2021-2025 outlined the strategic framework for deploying 5G, with the goal of covering half of Paraguay's population by 2025. The plan focused on expanding coverage, increasing penetration, and enhancing service quality for both fixed and mobile broadband. The 3.5 GHz band was assigned for mobile services, setting the stage for future 5G deployments.
