Digicel Martinique

Digicel Martinique is a telecommunications company operating in Martinique. It is part of the Digicel Group, a Jamaican and Caribbean mobile phone network and home entertainment provider that operates in 25 markets worldwide. The Digicel Group was founded in 2001 by Irish entrepreneur Denis O'Brien and launched its services in Jamaica. Over the years, the company expanded its operations to several other countries, including St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, and Martinique. The Digicel Group has also made several acquisitions to strengthen its market position, including Cingular Wireless’ Caribbean and Bermudan operations in 2005, U*Mobile in Guyana in 2007, and Comcel/Voila, its main competitor in Haiti, in 2012.
