Entel Peru is a telecommunications company operating in Peru. It is a subsidiary of Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones S.A., commonly known as Entel-Chile S.A., the largest telecommunications company in Chile. Entel Peru was established following the acquisition of Nextel del Perú operations by Entel in 2013. This acquisition marked Entel's expansion into the Peruvian market, with the process completed in the second half of 2013. The ownership of Entel Peru is thus linked to its parent company, Entel-Chile S.A., which itself is controlled by the Chilean group Almendral S.A. through its subsidiary Altel Inversiones. As of 2005, Almendral S.A. holds a 54.76 percent stake in Entel Group.
