    4G Network

      5G Network

      Epic Malta deployed 5G NR frequency band n78 (3500 MHz) in November 2021. This deployment was part of the company's efforts to enhance its network capabilities and provide advanced 5G services to its customers. Epic Malta also tested the 5G band n258 (mmWave 26 GHz) for high-speed data transmission, particularly beneficial in localised areas with high data demands. The company invested €40 million in upgrading its network infrastructure, aiming to offer next-level technology and faster speeds. By 2024, Epic Malta had launched 5G services in parts of the island, including Sliema, Gzira, and St. Julian’s, with plans for a nationwide rollout.
