GMobile participated in the 4G spectrum auctions and was awarded licenses to operate in the 1800 MHz frequency band in 2016. The company launched its 4G LTE services as part of the national push to enhance mobile broadband services. The use of the 1800 MHz band for both 2G and 4G services impacted network speed, prompting calls for additional frequency allocations. As of 2024, GMobile continued to operate its 4G network, addressing customer complaints about speed and accessibility by advocating for access to the 2600 MHz band to improve service quality.
