5G Network
As of 2024, Golis Telecom has not yet launched a commercial 5G network. However, the company is part of the broader telecommunications landscape in Somalia, which is preparing for the introduction of 5G technology. The National Communications Authority (NCA) of Somalia has opened a consultation process for the National 5G Strategy, aiming to develop policies for the deployment of 5G infrastructure across the country. This strategy includes harmonised spectrum integration in several frequency bands, such as 700MHz, 1427MHz-1518MHz, 3300MHz-4200MHz, 26GHz, and 28GHz. While Golis Telecom has not conducted specific 5G trials, the company's involvement in the national strategy suggests future participation in 5G developments.
