HOT Mobile is a telecommunications company based in Israel. The company was established on 18 August 2003, resulting from the merger of the three national cable companies in Israel: Matav, Tevel, and Golden Channels. This union was formed in response to the growing competition from local satellite television provider, Yes. In November 2004, HOT Telecom expanded its services to include domestic fixed line telephone services to residential and business subscribers. In 2009, businessman Patrick Drahi increased his stake in the company, and by 2011, he completed the takeover. Consequently, HOT Mobile is currently a part of Drahi's company, Altice Europe NV, as of 2018.
3G Network
The company was initially an operator of IDEN wireless services, until May 2012 when Hot Mobile secured a 3G operating licence and deployed a B1 (2100 MHz) with DC-HSPA+ data services. 2G GSM was later deployed in 2015 over the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.
