KPN

KPN, short for Koninklijke PTT Nederland, is a Dutch telecommunications and IT service provider. The company was established in 1989 when the postal and telecommunications services in the Netherlands were privatised. KPN is owned by a variety of institutional and individual shareholders, with the largest stake held by América Móvil, a Mexican telecommunications corporation. The Dutch government also retains a special share in the company, allowing it to exert influence if it deems necessary for the public interest.
