MobiCom is a telecommunications network that operates in Mongolia. It was established in 1996 as a joint venture between NewCom Group of Mongolia and Sumitomo Corporation, KDDI Corporation of Japan. The company provides a variety of services, including mobile voice, messaging, and data services, as well as fixed line services. MobiCom is recognised as one of the leading telecommunications providers in Mongolia.

3G Network

Mobicom operated standard 2G GSM services over 900 MHz, and launched 3G UMTS services over B1 (2100 MHz) band in April 2009. DC-HSPA+ services were reportedly activated.

    4G Network

    4G LTE services were launched in May 2016 over B3 (1800 MHz) and expanded using B28 (700 MHz) after licences were granted later in 2016. 4G LTE-A was announced in November 2017, using 2C carrier aggregation of B3 and B28 to provide peak DL data rates of up to 225 Mbps.
