4G Network
Mobily first launched 4G LTE services via its Bayanat brand in September 2011 over B38 (2600 MHz) TDD. B3 (1800 MHz) FDD LTE was commercially activated in January 2013, intially using a 5 MHz channel. The company implemented LTE-Advanced Pro, using 4X4 MIMO in August 2016. After securing an additional 2x5 MHz of 1800 MHz spectrum in June 2017, Mobily was able to increase its B3 channel width to increase network capacity and data rates.
