Moldcell is a Moldovan mobile network operator, established on April 28, 2000, with its first sales office located in Chisinau. The company operates in GSM, UMTS and LTE standards, offering various services including SMS and prepaid packages. Moldcell is a subsidiary of the Nepalese company, CG Corp Global. The company has a history of innovation in Moldova, being the first to introduce EDGE technology, electronic payments, and 3G services. In 2012, Moldcell became the first 4G operator in the country and also introduced mHealth services for several beneficiary categories. The company has also been recognised for its contributions to the local community, launching the "Born in Moldova" communication platform in 2013 and receiving the title of "Remarkable employer" in 2015. During 2020 Telia Group divested from Moldcell, selling the company to Nepalese Chaudhary Group (CG Corp Global)

4G Network
4G LTE services were launched in April 2012 over the B7 (2600 MHz) band. After securing additional spectrum in the 800 and 900 MHz bands in 2014, the company has been in the process of refarming 1800 MHz to B3 LTE, as well as deploying a B20 (800 MHz) LTE service.
