Monaco Telecom is the main telecommunications provider in the Principality of Monaco, established in 1997. The creation of the company was a result of the Monaco government's decision to privatise the formerly state-controlled Office Monégasque des Téléphones. The company is responsible for a range of services, including internet access and mobile phone services, and plays a crucial role in facilitating both internal and international communication for Monaco. The company's ownership is jointly held between Iliad, the investment vehicle of Xavier Niel, and the Société Nationale de Financement, an entity wholly owned by the Monegasque government.
