Nema is a telecommunications company operating in the Faroe Islands. The company was originally established in the year 2005 as Hey, then a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Faroese Telecom. In January 2019, Hey were merged with Faroese telecommunications company Nema, creating a telecommunications, stationery and communications technology company, but the Hey telecommunications service brand was kept. In 2022, The telecommunications service abandoned the Hey trademark to start using the company's commercial name, offering all its products under the Nema brand.
3G Network
The company has provided 2G GSM services over the 900 MHz band since November 2002, and in December 2008 launched 3G UMTS over B1 (2100 MHz).
