Orange Botswana is the second largest telecommunications company operating in Botswana. Established in 1998, the company is a subsidiary of French operator Orange S.A., with partial local ownership of the company.
3G Network
The company provided 2G services over 900 MHz, and launched 3G over B1 (2100 MHz) late 2009. Orange covered 55% of the population with its 3G services, and most of the population with mobile services.

4G Network
Orange was the first mobile operator to launch 4G LTE services over B3 (1800 MHz) in February 2015 and continued to expand its 4G coverage in 2016, which reached 30% at the end of that year. The company operates a 10 MHz LTE channel permitting peak data rates of 50 to 75 Mbps. Over the following years additional services were added using B1, B7, and B20.
