PrimeTel PLC is a Cypriot telecommunications company, established to offer and develop voice, data, and video services. It is recognised as the third-largest in fixed-line telephony in Cyprus. PrimeTel owns and operates a fibre network spanning Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Russia, and the United Kingdom. This network facilitates data communications, fiber-optic fixed network infrastructure, and IP-based services between Europe and the Middle East. In 2009, PrimeTel announced the launch of its submarine fiber cable landing station in Geroskipou, Cyprus. Two years later, in 2011, PrimeTel launched the first mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Cyprus. By April 2015, PrimeTel had launched the third true mobile network operator in Cyprus.
3G Network
The company has provided 2G GSM services over 900 and 1800 MHz, and 3G UMTS services over B1 (2100 MHz) and B8 (900 MHz) since February 2015. The networks have since been shut down.
