Sahal Telecom, established in January 2012, is a Next Generation Networks (NGN) telecommunications provider in the Somali Republic. The company was founded by a group of Somali businessmen and international partners with the vision of rebuilding the country’s telecommunications infrastructure. The company aimed to provide cost-effective internet and telecommunications services, focusing on broadband access and voice solutions. Sahal Telecom obtained a National Telecommunications Licence from the Ministry of Information, Post and Communications under the new Telecommunications Act of Somalia. The company has its headquarters in Mogadishu, with offices in Bakaara Market, KM4, and Dabka. Over the years, Sahal Telecom has grown from a regional ISP to a significant telecommunications provider, launching various innovative services and expanding its network infrastructure.
4G Network
Sahal Telecom launched its 4G LTE network in 2015, using the B20 (800 MHz) band. The launch of 4G LTE was part of the company's strategy to provide high-speed internet and telecommunications services in Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia. The 4G LTE network was launched with the aim of delivering the fastest internet in Mogadishu, enhancing the connectivity experience for both business and consumer sectors.
