Sure Falkland Islands is a branch of the telecommunications company, Sure, itself a trading brand of Batelco. Sure's presence in the Falkland Islands is part of its wider operations across several British territories, including the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, St. Helena, Ascension Island, and the British Indian Ocean Territory. The company's history traces back to the purchase of Guernsey Telecoms by the international division of Cable & Wireless plc in 2002, which later rebranded as Sure in July 2007. Following a corporate split of Cable & Wireless plc in 2010, Sure became part of Cable & Wireless Communications. In 2013, the company was acquired by Batelco Islands Limited.
