Sure Guernsey is a telecommunications company operating in Guernsey, among other locations. It was initially established as Guernsey Telecoms on 17 June 1896, under the States of Guernsey. In 2002, Cable & Wireless plc purchased Guernsey Telecoms from the States of Guernsey, marking its entry into the Channel Islands market. The company was later rebranded as Sure in July 2007. In 2010, following a corporate split of Cable & Wireless plc, Sure became part of Cable & Wireless Communications. Three years later, in 2013, Sure was purchased by Batelco Islands Limited, a Bahrain telecommunications company. Since its inception, Sure has grown to become the largest market shareholder of mobile, landline and broadband customers in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which includes the islands of Guernsey, Herm, Alderney and Sark.
