Taiwan Star Telecom Corporation Limited, also known as T Star, is a telecommunications company operating in Taiwan. Originally founded as the Federal Telecommunications Co., Ltd. in July 1999, it became a publicly traded company on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in May 2000. The company was renamed Vibo Telecom Co., Ltd. in September 2003 and later became Taiwan Star Telecom.
The ownership of Taiwan Star Telecom has changed over the years. In November 2013, Campbell and Compal Electronics sold their stake in Vibo Telecom to Taiwan Star. By April 2014, after a share swap, Taiwan Star became a 100% shareholder of Vibo Telecom. As of June 2014, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Taiwan Star Telecom is Wei Ying, who took over from retiring Vibo Telecom chairman Hsiung Hsu.
