Telcel is a Mexican wireless telecommunications company, owned by América Móvil. Founded in 1989, it is the leading provider of wireless communications services in Mexico. As a subsidiary of América Móvil, Telcel has a significant presence in the Mexican market, with its network covering approximately 90% of the country's population. América Móvil, the parent company, is a multinational telecommunications corporation headquartered in Mexico City and is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.
