Telekom Slovenije is a telecommunications company based in Slovenia, with its headquarters in Ljubljana. The company was founded in 1994 when PTT Slovenija separated postal and telecommunication activities, transferring all telecommunication infrastructure to the newly established Telekom Slovenije. The Slovenian state, which initially held a significant stake in the company, announced its intention to sell its 73 percent stake in Telekom Slovenije in 2013.

3G Network

The company launched its 3G network in December 2006 over the B1 (2100 MHz) band. The network has since been shut down.

4G Network

In March 2013, Telekom Slovenije launched commercial LTE service utilising B3 (1800 MHz). By the conclusion of February 2015, the LTE network spanned 200 cities and towns, accounting for over 80 further extended to 5 MHz bandwidth of 900 MHz spectrum on September 22, 2014, with plans to expand coverage to 300 sites by the end of 2016. In December 2014, 300 Mbps LTE-Advanced was launched, utilising carrier aggregation to combine 20 MHz of 1800 MHz and 20 MHz of 2.6 GHz spectrum. The introduction of LTE using B1 (2100 MHz) occurred in March 2015. A commercial launch of 225 Mbps LTE-Advanced, which combined 10 MHz 800 MHz and 20 MHz 1800 MHz, took place in March 2015. In December 2016 Telekom Slovenije disclosed the results of its lab trials of LTE-Advanced Pro technology which used B3 and B7 spectrum and a Cat 16 terminal to achieve a 900 Mbps DL.

NB-IoT services were launched in April 2019 using B8 and B20 carriers.
