Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, operating under the brand name Teletalk, is a state-owned mobile phone operator in Bangladesh. The company was incorporated on 26 December 2004 as a public limited company under the Companies Act, 1994. It is the only government-sponsored mobile telephone company in the country and launched its commercial operations on the same day of its incorporation. The company was initially launched as a subsidiary project of the Bangladesh Telephone & Telegraph Board (BTTB), named BTTB bMobile. It was later rebranded to Teletalk, and Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd was formed as the only public mobile operator in Bangladesh. It is currently the fourth largest mobile operator in the country. The company is known for its coverage in different hard-to-reach areas of the country, including Sundarban, Katka sea beach, Dublar Char, Char Nizam, different islands, Haor area, and Hilltrackts area.

The company has operated 2G GSM services over 900 and 1800 MHz bands, and activated 3G HSPA+ on B1 (2100 MHz) in October 2012.

      5G Network

      Having been awarded 60 MHz of 3.5 GHz spectrum in September 2021 the company announced the pre-commercial launch of a trial 5G network in December 2021 over the n78 (3500 MHz) band. The company also holds 30 MHz of 5G-capable spectrum in the n40 band.
