Telia Eesti AS, formerly known as AS Eesti Telekom, is a major telecommunications company operating in the Baltic States, specifically in the Republic of Estonia. The company was established in 1991 following Estonia's independence, inheriting the existing government telephone network. Initially, the company began with a copper cable network from the Soviet Russian period and a long list of individuals awaiting telephone connections. With an eight-year monopoly, the company invested in building a new telephone network and made strides into the internet realm in the 1990s. Over the years, the company has undergone significant changes, including a name change in 2016 to Telia Eesti. In addition, Estonian mobile operator EMT and broadband operator Elion merged their functions and have been known as AS Eesti Telekom since August 2014. Telia Eesti is a subsidiary of Telia Company AB, which owns 100% of the company's ordinary shares, totalling 137,954,529 shares. The company's primary source of profit comes from the profits of other companies within the group. Telia Eesti is a member of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

    4G Network

Telia's 4G LTE service was the first in Estonia with the company launching a B7 (2600 MHz) network in December 2010. This shortly followed with a B3 (1800 MHz) network in April 2011 and a B20 (800 MHz) network in June 2013. LTE-A services were switched on in August 2014 providing peak data rates of 300 Mbps using 2C carrier aggregation of a 20 MHz channel in B3 (1800 MHz) and a 20 MHz channel in B7 (2600 MHz).

June 2016 saw Telia Eesti, in partnership with Ericsson, activate LTE-A Pro achieving in excess of 1 Gbps using 3C carrier aggregation (1 x 20 MHz B3 + 2x 20 MHz B7), 4x4 MIMO, and 256QAM techniques.

In December 2018 the company announced it had launched a nationwide NB-IoT network, and announcing Energate as the first company using the service. It is expected that the service operates over B20 (800 MHz).

      5G Network

Estonia was named by Telia in October 2016 as one of two countries it planned to implement 5G by 2018. The company achieved its goal when in December 2018 Telia Eesti announced the successful deployment of a 5G NR network in Tallinn. Like other 5G deployments across Northern Europe, Telia Eesti uses n78 (3500 MHz), with Ericsson hardware. Telia's full national launch occurred progressively, with the implementation of n1 and n28 using DSS in November 2020, and a dedicated n78 carrier in July 2022.
