Türk Telekom is a state-owned telecommunications company based in Turkey. The company was established in 1995 following its separation from the Turkish Post (PTT). Türk Telekom provides integrated telecommunication services including Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), GSM, and wide-band Internet. The company's network infrastructure spans the entire country, offering a wide range of services to both personal and corporate customers. Türk Telekom owns 99.9% of the shares of TTNET, Argela, Innova, Sebit A.Ş. and AssisTT, and 81% of the shares of Avea, one of the three GSM operators in Turkey. In 2018, due to a financial crisis, Turkish and international banks took control of Türk Telekom. The majority of the company's shares, 61.5%, belong to the Turkey Wealth Fund, with 30% owned by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance (Turkey). The remaining 15% of shares are publicly traded on Borsa Istanbul.

3G Network

The company has provided 2G GSM services over 1800 MHz, and began 3G UMTS over B1 (2100 MHz) in July 2009. 3G services were upgraded to DC-HSPA+ in December 2010.

    Türk Telekom launched 4G LTE-A Pro using 4x4 MIMO; 256QAM; and 3C CA over B3 (1800 MHz), B7 (2600 MHz), and B8 (900 MHz) in April 2016. LTE TDD services are also provided over a 15 MHz carrier of B38 (2600 MHz).
