U Mobile

U Mobile Sdn Bhd, a mobile telecommunications service provider, was established in Malaysia in 1998 under the name MiTV Networks Sdn Bhd. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of U Television Sdn Bhd, previously known as U Telecom Media Holdings Sdn Bhd and MiTV Corporation Sdn Bhd. U Mobile uses the 018 and 011 prefix, allocated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). However, with the implementation of mobile number portability by the Malaysian government, this does not apply to subscribers who have switched from their previous mobile service provider to U Mobile.
