    On 24 March 2017, Vodafone Cook Islands (formerly Bluesky Cook Islands) initiated its 4G LTE services enhanced with LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) '4G+' technology on the islands of Rarotonga and Aitutaki. On 21 December 2022, the network extended its '4G+' LTE-A services to the outer islands, facilitated by the O3b mPOWER second-generation medium earth orbit (MEO) system. This system, using a satellite constellation, enabled high-speed internet coverage even in remote areas, significantly improving the network's reach and performance across the Cook Islands.
