Tinned Copper (TC) offers excellent conductivity, second only to silver among practical metals. This high conductivity results in less power loss, making TC a preferred choice for high-frequency applications. Additionally, the tin coating provides enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring longevity and reliability in harsh environments. TC cables may be more expensive than their bare copper counterparts due to the additional processing involved in tinning, and in the case of larger diameter cables TC is often prohibitively expensive over the use of composite materials like CCA.
