Band 43 is delineated within the 3.7 GHz spectrum, tailored for Time Division Duplexing (TDDTDD: A wireless communication technique that uses a single frequency band for both transmitting and receiving operations but separates these operations in time. In a TDD system, upstream (transmission from user equipment to base station) and downstream (transmission from base station to user equipment)…). Given its frequency range, Band 43 is well-suited for urban environments and areas with high population densities, striking a balance between coverage and network densification. The TDD configuration provides operators with the flexibility to manage bandwidth, accommodating shifts in uplink and downlink traffic requirements.

Historically used for 4G deployments, Band 43, akin to Band 42, has experienced a transition. The 3.7 GHz spectrum is increasingly being repurposed for 5G technologies. Consequently, traditional 4G deployments in Band 43 have diminished, with a growing emphasis on using this band for 5G.
