Alias
China TDD 1400
Band 45 is situated within the uncommon 1400 MHz spectrum and utilises a Time Division Duplexing (TDD) configuration. This mid-band frequency is suitable for a range of environments from urban centres to suburban areas.
3GPP's ratification of Band 45 in September 2012, under Release 13, was strategically aligned with China's band plan, reinforcing the global harmonisation efforts in LTE spectrum allocations. The band however failed to gain traction and is widely considered obsolete.
