Alias
LAA 5200
The LAA 5200 band is a Time-Division Duplex LTE band operating in the unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum. The band is used as a supplemental carrier under what is referred to as Licence Assisted Access (LAA). LAA carriers are designed to support higher capacity and peak data rates inside buildings.
Given its unlicensed nature and the properties of the 5 GHz frequency, Band 46 is especially effective for indoor environments, such as shopping centres and office complexes, where dense user concentrations necessitate additional bandwidth and improved connectivity.
