B54 (1600 MHz)

Introduced in October 2022 under the 3GPP Release 18, Band 54 operates in the 1670 to 1675 MHz frequency range. With a width of just 5 MHz, this band adopts a Time-Division Duplexing (TDD) configuration. Its positioning within the 1700 MHz spectrum means it can offer a balance of coverage and capacity, albeit its narrow bandwidth might limit the overall data throughput.

Being a recent addition to the LTE spectrum, Band 54's actual deployment and widespread use remain to be seen. The narrow bandwidth suggests that this band might be employed for specific use cases or regions where additional spectrum, even if limited, is needed to bolster existing services.
