Situated in the 2 GHz spectrum range, Band 65 utilises a Frequency Division Duplexing (FDD) configuration. The band was formalised by the 3GPP in Release 13.2, positioning it as an extension to the existing LTE spectrum lineup. Operating in the 2 GHz range, Band 65 naturally leans towards higher capacity at the expense of wider coverage.

Given its spectrum placement, Band 65 is optimally used in urban and suburban environments where user density is elevated, facilitating the need for robust data services such as video streaming and large file transfers.
