LTE 700 Arab Region
LTE Band 68 is positioned within the 700 MHz frequency range and was primarily designated for the Arab region. Recognised by 3GPP in Release 13.3, this band aligns with the spectrum allocation decisions made by the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG).
Operating in the 700 MHz range, Band 68 provides the inherent benefits of deep penetration and extensive coverage, making it especially suited for vast terrains and challenging topographies prevalent in parts of the Arab region. The band however has not gained traction and is widely considered obsolete.
