B76 (1500 MHz SDL)

Band 76, labelled as the DL 1500- SDL, is also tailored for the European market, finding its place at the lower end of the 1.5 GHz spectrum. Like Band 75, 3GPP introduced it in Release 15 and designated it as a Supplemental Downlink. By focusing solely on enhancing downlink capacity, Band 76 provides operators with the flexibility to manage asymmetric data demands, boosting downlink capabilities without the need for uplink enhancements. This design ideally fits regions or situations where the consumption of downstream data surpasses upstream data, ensuring efficient network performance in varied European regions.
