Alias
1600 L
The n24 band, referred to as the "1600 L" band, is a Frequency Division Duplexing (FDD) band, operating around 1600 MHz and used in 5G NR networks. The "L" stands for "Lower" in the 1600 MHz spectrum. The n24 band may be repurposed from its historical usage, which includes various satellite and terrestrial services, for 5G deployment in North America. It can provide balanced coverage and capacity for 5G networks. The n24 band was allocated by 3GPP in Release 17.1 (August 2022). The hardware ecosystem supporting the 1600 MHz band is limited.
