The n262 band, operating in the 48 GHz range, is an addition to the 5G band plan designed for North American markets. Added in Rel. 17.2 (July 2022), this band falls within the higher frequency millimeter-wave (mmWave) segment, which is characterized by its ability to support extremely high data rates, albeit with shorter range and more limited penetration capabilities compared to lower frequency bands.
