Named the "V2X" band, the n47 band operates around the 5.8 GHz unlicensed spectrum and is used in 5G NR5G NR: 5G was developed with three broad use case families in mind: enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), massive machine-type communications (mMTC) and ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC). eMBB focuses on across-the-board enhancements to the data rate, latency, user density, capacity and… networks. It is specifically set aside for Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication, a technology that enables vehicles to communicate with various entities like other vehicles, infrastructure, devices, and the grid, hence the "V2X" denomination. It is primarily used for automotive and smart transportation applications.
