n99 (1600 MHz SUL)

Also referred to as the "UL n24", this band operates as a supplemental uplink from 1626.5 to 1660.5 MHz. It has been allocated for use in North America, and matches the FDDFDD: A communication technology that uses separate frequency bands for transmitting and receiving operations. This technique enables simultaneous bi-directional communication by allocating one frequency band for upstream (transmission from the user equipment to the base station) and another distinct… uplink frequency of the n24 band. The n99 band was introduced in the 3GPP Release 17.1 in April 2021.
