TS-9 (or TS9) is an uncommon RF coaxial connector found in cellular devices such as 3G and 4G mobile broadband modems to support connection of an external antenna. The connector passes frequencies up to around 3 GHz. The TS-9 Female connector comprises a very simple circular brass housing with an outer diameter of 3.5 mm.
The connector is typically attached to the PCB by a Surface Mount or End-Launch mounting. The connector is most popularly found on wireless broadband devices manufactured by Netgear and Sierra Wireless.
TS-9 Male connectors have no controlled manufacture, however are identified by a 3.5 mm inner diameter and 3.8 mm outer diameter. The male connector is mostly found on interconnecting coaxial cables, although occasionally on small direct connecting external antennas. The connector should not be confused with the similarly dimensioned, but incompatible, CRC-9 connector. CRC-9 connectors are visually similar but the female board connector has a smaller 3.0 mm outer diameter.
