4G Network
A1 Serbia launched its 4G LTE network in March 2015, following the completion of a public bidding procedure for the 1710-1785/1805-1880 MHz frequency bands. The company, along with two other operators, was awarded two 5 MHz-radio frequency blocks each, enabling the deployment of 4G mobile technology across Serbia. The initial launch included coverage in major cities such as Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš, with theoretical peak speeds of 150 Mbps. By 2016, A1 Serbia expanded its 4G network to cover over 90% of the population, utilising the 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 2100 MHz bands. The network supported carrier aggregation, with up to 4CA aggregated carriers, resulting in a total available bandwidth of 50 MHz.

5G Network
As of 2024, A1 Serbia has not yet commercially launched its 5G network. However, significant preparations have been made for the rollout of 5G services. The auctioning of 5G frequencies to telecommunications companies in Serbia began in 2024, following years of delays. This development is expected to facilitate the mainstream deployment of 5G towers and mobile support, bringing Serbia up to modern international standards. A1 Serbia has been actively investing in its network infrastructure to ensure readiness for 5G technology, with plans to introduce 5G services once the necessary spectrum is fully allocated and regulatory conditions are met.
