Airtel Gabon

Airtel Gabon is a branch of the Indian multinational telecommunications services company, Bharti Airtel Limited, commonly known as Airtel. The company was formed in 1999 then as Celtel Gabon, until its acquisition by Zain in August 2008 becoming Zain Gabon. June 2010 saw the company change hands again when Bharti Airtel Africa acquired Zain's African operations, with the entire network rebranded in November 2010 to Airtel.

The parent company is based in New Delhi and operates in 18 countries across South Asia and Africa. Airtel Gabon provides telecommunications services in Gabon, one of the African countries where Airtel has a presence. The company was founded by Sunil Mittal in 1984. Initially, the company was involved in assembling push-button phones in India, and it gradually expanded its operations to include mobile network services. Airtel Gabon, like the other branches of Airtel, is owned by Bharti Airtel Limited. The company has a strategic management of outsourcing all of its business operations except marketing, sales and finance. The equipment for Airtel Gabon is provided and maintained by Ericsson, Huawei, and Nokia Networks, while IT support is provided by Amdocs. The transmission towers are maintained by subsidiaries and joint venture companies of Bharti.
