AIS 4G Network
AIS operates a highly sophisticated LTE-A Pro network, which provides 4x4 MIMO and 3C aggregation, and notably through its Next G service aggregated data throughput with its AIS Super WiFi network spanning some 100,000 hotspots. It operates an NB-IoT B8 (900 MHz) and LTE-M network over B3 (1800 MHz).
AIS 5G Network
The company launched a 5G network using refarmed 2600 MHz spectrum to deploy an n41 sub-6 GHz 5G NR service in February 2020. AIS added a second 5G carrier in January 2021 using n28 (700 MHz), with the company achieving one of the world's first 5G 2C CA network deployments. mmWave 5G was reportedly launched in November 2021 using n258 (26 GHz) and providing data rates up to 4 Gb/s during trials. With the company holding 1200 MHz of 26 GHz spectrum up to three 400 MHz carriers can be aggregated.
